About Pearl
Pearl
Baths, Inc., located in Minneapolis MN, was founded by Pearl Higginbotham
in 1978. Ms. Higginbotham started her career in the plumbing business in
1961, selling portable whirlpool systems to consumers in the Twin Cities
area. It is from this experience that the vision of Pearl Baths was
formed. Her idea was to take the kind of hydrotherapy found at medical
centers and sports facilities, and make it available for home use.
The patented Pearl Bath True Whirlpool® System was the exciting and
unique result. At the age of 55, with limited experience and few role
models, Pearl invested her life savings in a dream called Pearl Baths. Her
vision: To make the finest whirlpool bath in the business.
Today, Pearl Baths has become one of the largest and most successful
whirlpool bath companies in North America.
In March of 1994, Pearl Baths was purchased by MAAX Inc., a leading
plumbing fixture manufacturer in North America. That purchase marked the
most significant acquisition to date by MAAX Inc. and further strengthened
both Pearl's and Maax's position in the market.
Pearl Higginbotham retired in 1994 and continues to make her home in
the Minneapolis area. Pearl Baths, as a wholly owned subsidiary of MAAX
Inc., operates autonomously from MAAX, but with the full support of its
growing corporate parent. The synergy between the two companies is
obvious. Both share a passion for excellence while always focusing on
customer needs.
Pearl Baths' key to success is found in the core values of the
company—absolute dedication to performance and an unwavering commitment
to putting the customer first. This is evident in the design and
reliability of the product, and in Pearl's extensive warranty to the
homeowner.
Another key to success is Pearl's firm belief that people are the
foundation of any organization. Employees, customers, suppliers, the
community, shareholders and others are the lifeblood of the company. Pearl
respects individuals and families, supports continuous education, and
promotes a company culture that allows people to make a positive

Designer baths and Pearl showers have a 10-year surface warranty.
Contractor models have a 5-year surface warranty. The warranty on
the pumps of all Pearl Whirlpools is 5 years. The electrical,
plumbing and shower faucets warranty is 2 years |
